Quality issues related to the design and construction stage of a project in the Indian construction industry

Purpose Quality in the construction industry is an important issue yet ignored during initial stages of life cycle a project, that is, design and stage. The contribution stakeholders, especially architects generally suspended though it has huge significance terms cost time related to quality. This research endeavors examine issues project from architects' purview, understand relative importance these Indian industry. Design/methodology/approach study qualitative data conducted formed basis for online quantitative collection was further analyzed with help cross-tabulation multiple correspondence analysis methods. Findings concludes budget corresponding factor quality concern architects. also established high budgets are closely stage identified as preparation checklist, bidding process hiring contractor on lowest bid. Research limitations/implications limited analyzing perspective architects; however, other stakeholders may represent different opinion. Practical implications emphasizes client's role, need integration coordination among effective control management. Originality/value presents exhaustive literature review its respect implications, standard practices, sustainability project.
